This green cheek conure likes bells, shredding toys, and having the option to come out and see what you are doing. In her new video, she hangs out on Shannon’s shoulder and accepts head scratches while they get to know each other.
Based on family history given, we believe she’s 15–20 years old. Her previous caregiver reported about 14 years across two family homes, with an earlier Craigslist placement before that. Her exact age is unknown. She is female.
Her previous caregiver described her as particular about when she wants to be handled, with no preference between men and women. Give her time, let her choose to approach, and keep building the relationship. A shoulder visit is not a lifetime guarantee that every finger is welcome.
Bells and shredding toys were favorites in her previous home. She also liked having her cage door open so she could come out on her own terms. She needs a home that will make time for her every day.
