WHAT IS BIRDIEBYE?
Birdiebye was created because we have always believed that the birds should not be paying salaries. There is no profit in rescue. It’s expensive, and it very much does not pay for itself.
We don’t want to have to make decisions for birds based on financial hardships for the rescue. We hate begging for donations constantly. Donations are a giant, big deal and we need them and appreciate every penny. But, the ability for our donors to contribute ebbs and flows with the seasons, and it’s not a reliable form of income to the rescue, that we can plan and count on.
We wanted a way to become somewhat self sufficient. So, our founder bought a giant laser (It’s literally huge. It can fit an entire piece of plywood inside of it.) with the intention of creating a way to make revenue to first cover whatever the rescue can’t on its own, and to cover the cost of staffing the rescue.
Birdiebye is an LLC owned by the founder and and her husband that functions solely to benefit the rescue and those working for the rescue.
