Meet Pip & Squeak

Pip and Squeak are a bonded pair of budgies with cute little personalities and a whole new chapter ahead of them. They’re looking for a home together.

Pip was already stepping up during an early session. Squeak is a little more flighty and takes more time to settle. After about ten minutes of calm interaction, the pair were spending time on fingers—a sweet beginning, with plenty of getting-to-know-you time still ahead.

They need someone who enjoys the little things: a first step onto a hand, a bit more confidence, and two small birds becoming comfortable in their own time. Their ages are unknown. Both are male.

THINK YOU MIGHT BE A GOOD FIT FOR PIP & SQUEAK?

Someone who wants both birds, will give them time to settle, and enjoys earning a small bird’s trust through calm, consistent interaction. Keep this bonded pair together.

Apply online, complete your interview and home walkthrough, prepare your setup, then visit by appointment to meet the birds. The match depends on how the bird connects with you.

How it works: Apply online → interview → home walkthrough video → approval and an invitation to visit the rescue → visit and handling in Battle Creek, Michigan. If all goes well, you may be approved to adopt that day. An adoption contract is required.

Our usual adoption area is about 350 miles; exceptional farther homes may be considered if willing to travel. Visits are by approved appointment. We never ship birds. Companion adoption only; no breeding. There is no application fee.

The honest stuff, true for every bird:

  • Birds usually pick a favorite person and tolerate everyone else.
  • They’re not great with kids or dogs, and need to be where the family is, rather than in a separate room.
  • All birds bite. Pay attention to their boundaries and earn their trust.
  • It’s about trust, not dominance.

Scam warning: Never send money online for an animal you haven’t met in person.
